GreerWalker hosted its second bi-annual firm retreat in Asheville, North Carolina on May 3-5, 2023. Against the stunning backdrop of the historic Biltmore Estate, the firm’s partners, managers, and staff came together for an eventful gathering that encompassed a community involvement project, team building, professional development, and the successful conclusion of the firm’s Innovation Challenge.
The retreat focused on GreerWalker’s commitment to community involvement. Mrs. Laura Yates Clark, President and CEO of United Way of Greater Charlotte, spoke on behalf of the organization. She shared United Way’s mission to provide outreach and grassroots support for local organizations, to have a deeper impact on individuals throughout the Charlotte area and expressed her appreciation for GreerWalker’s continued partnership with United Way of Greater Charlotte.
Several partners shared a reignited vision for GreerWalker’s commitment to community, that included empowering the next generation of partners, managers, and staff by providing them with the tools, resources, and opportunities to help their local communities. As part of this vision, the firm launched the GreerWalker Community Impact Fund in conjunction with the Foundation for the Carolinas. This new philanthropic endeavor aims to streamline the firm’s charitable efforts and amplify its social impact.
Building upon the momentum of these presentations, the firm then participated in a charitable team-building challenge, answering trivia, and building children’s bikes for donation.
The event also marked the culmination of the firm’s Innovation Challenge. The challenge encouraged employees from various departments to collaborate and propose innovative ideas that would enhance the firm’s services and client experience.
GreerWalker’s retreat at the Biltmore Estate was filled with excitement, inspiration, and a renewed sense of purpose for all who attended.
